Vision: To create and grow an interdisciplinary community of scientists dedicated to accelerating the translation of basic behavioral, and social science discoveries into effective clinical and public health interventions.
Mission: To support early-phase behavioral translation research and its clinical and public health application through the development of a community of scholars and practitioners devoted to sharing ideas, disseminating research questions and findings broadly, collaborating across translational phases, designing training opportunities for new investigators, and developing institutional programs and structures that support and sustain research in this area.
- Enable community members to discover and share relevant information quickly and easily via an AI driven information portal.
- Facilitate the development of new ideas by hosting online colloquia that enable community members to share their work and obtain feedback from their colleagues in a timely and efficient way.
- Create an “Ambassador Program” that introduces researchers and clinicians from multiple disciplines to concepts and findings from early-phase behavioral research and demonstrates the potential benefits of research in this area for developing more effective behavioral treatments for diseases and their risk factors.
